Basic Skills Training
Empowering and developing domestic workers
We provide basic skills training courses to domestic workers living and/or working in the Protea Valley area.
The 6-week courses are offered twice a year (in the first and third quarters).
The purpose is to provide access to training to empower the domestics workers and safe online casino provide a space for them to find and develop new talents.
We currently offer the following courses:
- Basic computer
- Intermediate computer
- Basic sewing
- Intermediate sewing
- Baking and cooking skills
- Learners license
- Arts and crafts
- First aid
The Team
volunteers
The Basic Skills courses are run entirely by volunteers.
Candice Wilson coordinates the courses. Each course is led by a team leader who is supported by a team of volunteers.
